Wasserburg is a very, very old town about 1 hour away from our house. But not only that: my wonderful Dad was born there and lived there for about one year. We went there last weekend and we had so much fun!

The Inn is a river that goes right around the city...we walked on the shore for a while.

Modern Art...well...

An old wooden fairy

Very pretty...

Jimmy had fun, too!

An old sign that shows boats loading salt. Wasserburg was once the most important salt trading town!

The town has many little courts in between the houses.

The town hall from the 15th century

The town has so many beautiful houses!

The only entrance to the town is by a bridge

There are still canonballs in the entrance gate! They are from the 30years- war which took place from 1618 to 1648!

Wasserburg is very similar to Florence in Italy.

Entrance to an old church

That's where my Dad lived...behind one of these balconys (he doesn't remember very well, of course).

Walking through the city

This is the last standing tower from the wall around the town from the middle ages.

The sign says it!

The stairs to the tower

My parents and me walking along the old wall

The entrance to an old cemetary

The top of the entrance gate (the date on the carving is 1010!)

The narrow streets of Wasserburg...

Jordan took a picture of this because he thought this was funny...a Pissoir is a men's toilet...

On the way home...in the background an old elementary school where my grand uncle went to!
