Every year my parents hang up a bird house for the chikadees to build a nest and raise their babies and every year birds move in and become parents. We always hear the babies scream and see the parents fly in and out all the time, feeding them with no break. After a while we see the babies fly out and then we get the house down and look at the nest. It is always sad to see one or two dead babies in the nest. This year it was different because we didn't find dead birds but two empty eggs!
